seven minutes

7

The inspiration behind this poem is my eldest daughter would always go around saying, “in seven minutes”.  It just made me wonder how children grasp time at certain stages in life.  Well I hope you enjoy reading it as I enjoyed writing it.

seven minutes of life,
seven minutes of strife,
seven minutes of grief,
seven minutes; sleep.
seven minutes of bliss,
seven minutes; kiss,
seven minutes; abyss,
seven minutes of existence.
In seven minutes you will experience a turmoil of emotions from happiness to anger.  It’s up to you to use these seven minutes to enlighten a life.
